Our newest team member has been assigned this new division - Meghan Moreo. As a Fashion Director for Concierge Magazine and former convention services assistant at Bellagio, Meghan has been exposed to both sides of the event planning process.
She believes each opportunity is a chance to create a lasting impression. For one cool night in Las Vegas, it was about the children, the families, and the holiday spirit.
The Magical Forest only happens with the help of volunteers, and Thursday, December 4 was Baskow's night to help.

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Every member of our team has worked diligently to ensure that Baskow will not only survive but thrive in these uncertain times. Our services are of greater value today in this economy than ever before. With Corporate downsizing and fewer planners with more to accomplish, the capabilities of a DMC are definitely needed. We've seen how most of our clients are still coming to Las Vegas and other meeting destinations. What's changed is how their discretionary funds are being spent. We're assisting in creative menu choices that are not as expensive, as well as different choices for tours and programming. At Baskow and Associates, we've reached out to our preferred partners and have collaborated on numerous creative and cost-effective choices that help our clients have that great program, while managing their event budgets. We're rolling out new team-building, decor and program options that continue to amaze and delight. We are listening to our clients, and we are making sure that all their needs are met at the budgets they have set. As we close out 2008, we are grateful for our loyal clients and dedicated staff have provided us with stability and continued success for the coming years. Coordinator of the Year: Sherry Baldwin Sherry has been working as a Coordinator for Baskow & Associates for over 15 years. She has become one of the favorites of our clients and is requested by name many times. Thank you Sherry for another wonderful year of top notch service! Rising Star of the Year: Alec Sonenthal, Senior Manager Housing, Registration, & Technology Services Alec has risen very quickly though the ranks at Baskow and is now leading our Housing and Registration Department Team. Always looking for the latest technological advances, Alec has consistently provided the best of the best to our Baskow Clients. He is our Gizmo Guru! Thanks Alec! You Rock! Employee of the Year - For the First Time, Baskow had Co-Employees of the Year! Angel Poole, Executive Assistant Angel has been with Baskow since 2005 and has grown into an invaluable member of the Baskow Team. Taking the lead with our Executive Assistant Team, Angel also works with our Housing and Registration Department and helps with training and implementing new processes and procedures used at Baskow. Her organizational skills makes everyone want to work with her! Thanks for everything Angel! Scott Washburn, Vice President Marketing and Business Development A part of the Baskow family for 10 years, Scott has consistently been a top producer as an Account Executive and brings a wealth of experience and skills as Baskow's Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. added a new division dedicated to the social market - "Beyond
Baskow!"
With a background in
producing and overseeing events with a social aspect to more of a
corporate side, these ventures have provided her with a well-balanced
education on how to construct a successful event.

by Opportunity Village, the Magical Forest is a wonderful experience for
“kids” of all ages. From the moment you enter you are enchanted
by the sights and sounds of the holiday season. From strolling
through decorated trees and displays to photos with Santa and nightly
entertainment, there is something for everyone.
More than
40 Baskow employees, spouses,
guests and program coordinators all showed to up help throughout the
night. From stuffing bags to collecting tickets, to dressing up as story
time princess and giant teddy bears, to serving food and helping with the
merry-go-round, Baskow was there all night long.
As 2008 wraps up and we move into 2009, Baskow and Associates rings in the New Year embracing change. While 2008 introduced some unwelcome economic realities, we are excited about our responses to the market, locally and globally.
